Axe Cleans "Dirty Balls"

I'm a marketing guy, and I love it when I come across a commercial that really makes me laugh. Lots of larger brands are often too afraid to create commercials that could cause controversy, but some others embrace it. This morning I found a commercial by AXE that blew my mind, it's called "AXE clean your balls" -- and that's exactly what its about. I can't imagine this is airing on TV because its pretty crazy, but I think it's hilarious -- it actually reminded me of the Schick "Mow the lawn" commercial that made its way across the internet sometime last year. Check them both out below and let me know what you think? -- Funny? or Too Much?

Real talent with their Pants on the Ground

It really is amazing how a small video clip from a tv show can spark such a huge online phenomenon. Last week on American Idol, a man started what quickly proved to be this year’s ‘American Idol YouTube hit’ singing his self written song “Pants on the Ground.” Almost immediately, clips of hopeful YouTube stars began covering his song and posting it online. Some of these covers are actually really good. One of them in particular started with a really good sounding acoustic cover and within a few days lead to a full version of the song with lyrics added to the original song’s simple catchy chorus. YouTube has almost become an online American Idol talent show of its own, where artists like the one seen in this video can showcase their talent in videos that go viral almost overnight. So for those of you who can’t wait for the auditions to be over to see some real talent, take some time and look online, because in some cases, it’s just as fun to watch!
